Australia's Top Cat Games on Android: Q4 2020 Performance Review

As the year 2020 came to a close, the cat-themed gaming category on Android in Australia saw various trends across top applications. Sensor Tower provides a detailed look at how these games performed in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

My Talking Tom Friends by Outfit7 Limited, released in June 2020, showed a significant increase in revenue from $209K in late September to $572K in mid-December, before dropping to $115K by year's end. Downloads peaked at 5.2K in the last week of December, while weekly active users climbed from 70.4K to 74.9K over the quarter.

Another title from Outfit7, My Talking Tom 2, released in November 2018, experienced fluctuations in revenue, reaching a high of $727K in early October and settling at $487K at the end of December. Downloads saw an increase towards the end of the quarter, from 3.2K to nearly 3K, with weekly active users rising from 93.1K to 92.5K.

My Talking Angela, with a 2014 release date, had its revenue peak at $611K in mid-December, followed by a decrease to $153K. The game's downloads saw a rise in the final weeks of the quarter, reaching 2.2K, and active users increased from 13.9K to 13.5K during the same period.

Lastly, Talking Tom Hero Dash, which debuted in June 2019, reached its highest revenue of $608K in late October, with a modest increase to $297K by the end of December. Downloads and active users showed a steady increase throughout the quarter, ending with 1.7K downloads and 18.7K weekly active users.
